The Daily Grind: When Life Gets in the Way of Great Ideas

To begin with, I wanted to write a blog every day.  But life just gets in the way. There was work to do. Both intellectually and physically. Or worse

You out to work. You get dusty, dirty, itchy, sweaty. You have a lot of great thoughts, but no way to write them down. And it's hard to remember them. And you have to keep focused on your work so you don't run anyone down. Or worse, injury yourself

And it's dusty out. And humid. And hot. And tiny little bugs are biting at you, or trying to fly into your eyes. And when you get done, all you want to think about is resting and eating and a cool drink, and a shower.

And when you're finished with all that, you want to sit down and rest and watch television. And two hours later, you wake up and have no idea what you're watching and all you know is that the show isn't what you started out and worst of all, you really have to go pee and you don't know if you can get to the bathroom--six steps away--before you wet yourself.

Worst of all, you cannot remember what great things you were thinking about while you were working. And that's because you focused on the task at hand.

Maybe this is just a "junk" blog. Or, maybe there's some important message here. Or not.

Take care and have a good life. You might be somebody important someday. Or just yourself. But don't knock being just yourself--life is good and enjoy it as long as you can.
