When I first started this blog months ago, I didn't want it to be about politics or anything upsetting. The first blog was good and the next two were junk.

So I spent the next several months thinking about my blogg.  Some of that time was easy because I lay in my chair just eight steps from the downstairs (men's) bathroom. I was recuperating from a leg wound.

While I rested with my leg high in the air (it's all healed now, not even a scar), I kept thinking about what I really wanted to say.

I kept thinking about it until just before Christmas.  What I wanted to do was let the world know who I was and what I wrote about.

I also wanted to help other writers.

  So who am I?

My name is James Domenighini (pronounced: doe men ee gen ee). I'm Italian-American, third generation. My dad and his youngest brother lived into their hundreds. The middle brother died in 1944 during World War Two, at Omaha Beach. He only made it into his twenties.

I grew up on a farm in California. I worked with my brother, my dad, my uncle, and my two cousins. Now, only my brother, his son, and one of our nephews work on the farm. The glorious

years of six family members working on it are now gone. No more eight hundred acres of corn. No more three hundred acres of rice, hundreds of acres of wheat and alfalfa. They exist now only as ghost memories.d Sorenjimy, biochemistry, and geology. I wanted to be a scientist. Instead, I became a freelance journalist.

I also studied Shotokan Karate, Judo, Danzan-ryu Jujitsu, Tai-kwan Do, and Sorinji Kempo. Sorinji  is the Japanese word for Kung Fu. The Japanese word danzan means separation. A little research revealed that more than eight thousand  samurai warriors in history named their long swords "danzan." I guess they dreamt of cutting a lot of heads off.

I now write science fiction adventure novels and historical novels. Some say that the historical novels are really westerns. But westerns only span 1865-1890. My historical novels are set in the early 1900s.

That's all for now. See you out there.
