"Are there real-world scientific developments or theories influencing "The Killing Stars" story?

When the James Webb telescope came online all hell was let lose on humanity. The Universe wasn't like what scientists in the last century thought it was supposed to be. Every scientist, every AI, every creature large and small, wonders why things don't add up.

Hyperspace might exist. Warp drive is now a scientific possibility. Even light speed is not a limitation. (For example, the light generated in the center of Earth's sun, Sol, takes roughly a million years wiggling and twisting through the dense matter in between the Sun's core and it's surface.)

Science Fiction is about imagination. Billions of "What ifs?" is what it's all about. Of course, narration, dialogue, good story lines, CONFLICT, and adventure is important. Some plausibility is also necessary.

In a previous blog I mentioned that I put into my stories science fiction things used in former movies and books. I'm not stealing from previous creators but honoring the ideas they came up with.

And by the way, some scientists are considering the concepts of artificial gravity and even anti-gravity. Add new materials are being considered, too.
